Mace Construct to Rebrand as Forco After New Year

The UK contractor will adopt a shorter name as it sets productivity targets through 2030.

Mace Construct will rename itself Forco after trading under its current name until the new year, the contractor has announced. The business described the new name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce.

Mace Construct and Mace Consult became separate businesses in March, with Mace Consult retaining the Mace brand. Mace Construct will adopt the Forco name from the new year, alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030.

Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said Mace Construct—soon to be Forco—had spent 35 years raising standards and helping drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds said that while the name and brand were changing, the culture, values and people that had underpinned the contractor’s success were not. Clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure, he added.

The announcement did not set out the specific measures behind the 2030 productivity targets. It also did not detail how the new corporate strategy would be implemented after the Forco name takes effect.
