Aggreko launches three Canadian Tier 4 Final diesel generators

The 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW units are configured for Canadian contractors, with the largest offering onboard 600V output.

Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators configured for remote work sites in Canada, expanding a Canadian fleet that spans 25 kW to 1200 kW. The new units are rated at 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW at 600V and will be offered exclusively to Canadian contractors.

The generators combine Aggreko's current emissions-control and power-system technologies with configurations intended to meet Canadian market and regulatory requirements. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, according to the company, covering electrical and fuel regulations in Canada. Aggreko says the units provide low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications.

Onboard 600V output for large loads

The 1200 kW model is designed for large industrial loads, including applications where 600V power is frequently required. Its onboard 600V capability eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers, Aggreko says. That direct output is intended to reduce project complexity, improve cost-efficiency and limit potential points of failure.

The 145 kW and 210 kW units are canopy configurations that can be deployed for immediate energy needs. Aggreko positions the smaller units for temporary or distributed requirements and the 1200 kW model for larger industrial demand. The company says all three generators offer fuel efficiency, low emissions and controlled noise levels that exceed local requirements.

Target markets and service support

Aggreko identifies data centers, construction, oil and gas, mining and events as key Canadian industries for the generators. The company plans to deploy temporary power through its network of Canadian service centres, with energy experts working with customers on application and site requirements.

Canada's data-centre sector is a particular focus. As provincial regulators examine limits on how much power data-centre operators draw from the grid, Aggreko says its Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy while limiting disruption to surrounding communities. The company also points to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across remote territories, alongside construction and data-centre growth.

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said that tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited the country's large petrochemical and mining industries, remote territories, construction activity and data-centre sector as sources of demand for powerful, precisely configured energy solutions.

The launch adds three Canadian-specific models to Aggreko's existing range. The 145 kW and 210 kW units are aimed at immediate deployment, while the 1200 kW unit is intended for larger industrial loads. Aggreko says the generators are available exclusively for Canadian contractors.
